Love is defined as a strong emotional emotion that an individual feels in the form of an emotional desire towards a person, something, or a place, and desires to stay with him or in him and does not wish to separate from him spiritually and physically, and this feeling grows and increases over time, in which the lover likes his beloved and becomes a source of inspiration And passion and a reason for happiness and comfort, and it was said about love that it is taken from the grain, and it is the one that rises above the water in heavy rain, and if we entered the world of Sufism, we would find that it is based on the love of the Divine Self, the family of the House and the loved ones from the people of the path, and the great value of love in our lives and its great impact in shaping Personality and its refinement, the word love was mentioned in 76 verses of the Holy Qur’an. With the difference in the meaning of love, God Almighty says, “And do good, for God loves the doers of good” (Al-Baqara: 195), “Yes, whoever fulfills his covenant and fears God, God loves the righteous.” } (Al-Imran: 76) - These verses show some of the characteristics of those whom God loves from ( The doers of good / the purified / the pious) that God urges us to be characterized by so that we may be among those whom He loves and is pleased with in this life and the Hereafter.
“The love of desires has been adorned for people in terms of women and children, and heaps of gold and silver, and horses and cattle, And the tillage is the enjoyment of the life of this world, and God has a good return with Him.” (Al-Imran: 14) This verse brought together everything that people love despite the difference in their environments, and they seek it and are keen to obtain it, “ And women in the city said, “The dear wife is seducing her young man for himself, he has made her passionate about love. Indeed, we see her in clear error.” (Yusuf : 30) And here is love in a different way and of another kind; Love has been spreading more and more recently with openness and promiscuity. The love of youth and the love of desires, and the meaning of the Almighty’s saying, “He made her passionate with love,” meaning that Joseph’s love reached the very depths of her heart (the dear wife); Until it conquered her heart.
And if we contemplate the meaning of love in the Holy Book, we would find that it does not differ from its meaning in the Holy Qur’an, because the Lord is one and has no partner. Look what He said.
“He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no stumbling block in him.” (1 John the Apostle 2:10)
“Let all your affairs be done in love” (1 Corinthians 14:16) “Be kind to one another with brotherly love, giving preference to one another in honor” (Romans 10:12) “May mercy, peace and love abound for you.” (Jude 2:1).
We conclude from the foregoing that love has a great importance in human life, and it is the only way to escape from disobedience and sin, and for that we must all focus in our worldly life on those noble concepts that emphasize love, brotherhood, tolerance, acceptance of the other, giving, righteousness and piety, and that move away from the concepts of selfishness, hatred, violence and terrorism And the love of possession so that our lives can be straightened on the land that God has subjugated for us.
