The Egytian writer Nabil Hamid singled out the satirical very short story in order to put his hand through its terse words on the real feelings and concerns of the homeland, including cultural, linguistic, ideological and sociological aspects.
Ernest Hemingway previously wrote a very short story, "for sale a child's shoes were never worn." Few words, short but with countless pain and aches. And here we are about Egyptian Hemingway who's writing the one word committed to society's concerns, social and cultural, ideological and linguistic.
He is not only a story writer, but also a passionate poet, who adores the Egyptian language, simply chooses his vocabulary, far from the lexical vocabulary that has no life on Egyptian tongues. A first-class Egyptian poet sings in his poety and lines of his stories with Nile and it's flood, and boasts of his Egyptian and ancestral civilization.
In this wonderful opportunity, I will share with the generous reader a taste of some of Professor Nabil Hamid's very short stories.

--------------------------------------
In a story you find Nabil Hamid shows the isolation of intellectual man or writer at this time where relationships, corrupt or individual interests are intertwined.
Another story warns against unhelpful relationships. Here, the writer formulates a sociological theory in dealing with the interlinkages that an individual faces in his daily life.
And you find him in another story that implicitly sings his civilization as Egyptian, with assets that dive into the roots of history. That's when he writes "The Bedouin curse" The Bedouin mentality is unproductive and here is the Egyptian who learns from his civilization the whole world disadvantages this mentality that weakened all the vivid thoughts.
In another story, he advocates the liberation of women from the predominantly masculine gaze of invaders. Professor Nabil Hamid, here is an Egyptian interested in Egyptian women's issues, and invites them to stand out and succeed.
"Street Vendors' Law" is a very short story. It has many social principles that poor street vendors possess. They also have the principles that they respect and the norms that they follow in their daily lives.
In the story "You Are Different", he talks about the uniqueness of man in his genetic sequence, and summarizes genetic science in a message to the reader "You are unique."
The story of "Looking at Sky" is a philosophical argument is on not the freedom to look at sky, but on his freedom before those who entrust themselves with the monopoly of opinions and direct the people, and this is where the writer formulates an important principle, namely the freedom of the individual to see and not to acquiesce to those who attribute to themselves the possession of opinions or the absolute truth.
Conclusion.
Professor Nabil Hamid's language has his own Egyptian perspective. In many of his writings, he adores the spoken Egyptian language and is away from linguistically dead words. Professor Hamid considers, this is an uncontested fact, that the Egyptian has unique in a language different from that of all the Arabs around us. This language is the result of a long and ancient heritage, the Pharaonic and Coptic heritage that dyed the language of Egyptians and made it different from the language of neighbourhood.
