To Those Who Have Been Told that The Blue Nile belongs to Ethiopia, and therefore their government has the right to control it , please :

(Take a minute) or (Stop) and (Imagine) or (Think)of the following :

What If ..

Tomorrow morning Switzerland announced it was building an immense dam, thus blocking the waters of the Rhine from reaching Germany, Belgium, Austria, France and the Netherlands?!

Can you imagine the German city of Bonn without the Rhine .??!

What If ..

Germany announced tomorrow the construction of a huge dam, and in the process, was going to prevent the waters of the Danube from flowing into Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania and Moldova?!

Imagine the cities of Vienna, Budapest, and Belgrade with the Danube barely trickling through .

What If ..

Russia started constructing a gigantic dam, and blocked the waters of the Dniepr from reaching Belarus and Ukraine ?!

What If ..

Canada banned the St. Lawrence from reaching the  State of New York?!

And also stopped the Columbia River flowing into the State of Washington?!

What If ..

Peru built several dams preventing The Amazon flowing into Brazil ?!

And Finally ..

What would Russia’s reaction be, if China stopped the flow of the (Irc hi) River, thus turning the green Russian Steppes into deserts .?!

Ladies and Gentlemen ..

International Rivers that transcend national boundaries are Divine Endowments, giving the Gift of Life to so many countries, and to millions of people .

River water is not a favor that one country can bestow upon another, nor can it wield absolute power to decide the fate of a sovereign nation .

Since the time of the Pharaohs, the River Nile has been recognized as Egypt’s heartbeat, and its Source of Life ...

And so it shall remain.
